FY 2013 membership term is November 1, 2012 to October 31, 2013

Dues for  FY 2013 are due and payable as of November 1, 2012.

   * MEMBERSHIP 

    All are welcome to join CCE.  Memberships are open and all are invited to share in the musically rewarding and friendly society of Comhaltas. In addition to the cultural and social benefits, your membership includes the monthly branch newsletter, and quarterly issues of "Treoir", the official Comhaltas magazine published in Dublin. The membership year runs November 1st through October 31st.

Chairperson's Notice about the Newsletter - Members receiving the paper version now and agree to receive future issues via email, kindly contact Barbara Davis at cceboston@verizon.net  - Our branch officers met last summer and determined that it is necessary to increase our membership dues. The present dues rates have been in place since 1998. We have all seen many changes in our lives over this fourteen year period. The cost of most of the items or services we purchase have increased considerably, so too have our costs as an organization.

     Increasing postage costs also have a big impact on our organization. The most significant part of the increase in dues is an increase in the Provincial level assessment. The Provincial Council handles the importing, and mailing of Treoir magazine which is published in Dublin, Ireland. At the Convention this past April, in St. Louis, the delegates adopted a $5 per household increase in the Provincial assessment to cover the increasing cost of mailing Treoir.

       Using US mail is still the most practical method to insure that all our members receive this magazine dedicated to traditional Irish music. Printing and mailing our own newsletter is the branch’s biggest expense. We are fortunate to have a strong base of advertisers that help defray this cost. Their advertising support helps us to mitigate printing and postage costs. 

     We hope you realize the value of being a part of the Comhaltas organization. Your continued membership will reaffirm pride in your heritage and exemplify strong support for traditional Irish music, dance, and culture.

Junior Membership (under 18 years) $5 -  Family Membership (with all children) $40.
